This is one of the most wickedly fast hyper sport touring / longer legged supersport adventure style bikes released in the past decade. This bike truly does defy the standard motorcycle categories and breaks the rules when it comes to the more upright superbike segment. This is the most practical sportbike that BMW offers in their S range and its perfect for traversing the continent and doing so at speeds equivalent to small aircraft or just traveling you favorite local backroad. It is ideal for this area because with its longer more plush suspension it handles the pot holes, cracks, and frost heaves in the pavement far better than its stablemates with shorter stroke shock and forks that are more track oriented. Don't let that fool you into thinking this bike isn't capable of carving a corner however as the press release photos with the bike on track show you can put down laptimes that will embarrass most 600 supersports and are not far off pace of many Japanese liter bikes.
