This is one of the fastest and cleanest 5th gen R1s that we have ever sold and is the last year for the best body style of Crossplane R1 ever to be made. This was the last generation to stay true to the lines of the original R1 with the stereotypical angry eye double headlight front fairing with classic sharp lines and the quintessential dual under-seat exhaust which the R1 was the last liter bike to have before finally going low mount with the 6th generation Moto GP inspired 2015 model. This bike is amazingly fast and has the usual torque and howl which has now become associated with many of Yamaha's sport bikes that use the Crossplane engine. This was the ultimate refinement of the first generation Crossplane R1 as it takes the bike that was a World Superbike winning recipe and improved upon it with multi level traction control, and ABS brakes. This is in addition to the power mode settings and excellent suspension the original bike came with when released in 2009. This bike really is an experience to ride with the sounds and rumbles you get from the CP4 motor combined with styling that is a shop favorite here at our dealership.
