The Harley Street 500 has become synonymous with the rider academy that Harley Davidson offers called "Riders Edge" which gives 1000's of new riders per year their first foray into the world of street motorcycling. This is THE bike Harley still uses for its training classes even long after its discontinuance in 2020 because it is still one of the best training platforms from any manufacturer and certainly anything that ever came from the HD Motor Company which is why these bikes will actually continue to CLIMB in value rather than depreciate. With nothing on the Horizon from Harley to replace the little Street there is a huge market demand for a true MIDDLEWEIGHT entry level cruiser that weighs less than 500lbs has a LOW center of gravity and VERY low seat. It is very confounding that Harley chose to focus on more and more expensive and high performance models and completely ignoring an entire market segment by dropping all Harley Street models. Do not get this confused with when Harley dumped Buell from their showrooms as that was a more of cutting ties with Erik Buell than it had to do from a manufacturing standpoint and these Street models are 10 times ahead of their Buell Blast cousins they replaced as the out going workhorse of the Harley training regiment. The Street was a TRUE HARLEY DAVIDSON built in the US even though people speculated they were built in India and was mostly made of Harley designed and produced parts. These were great little bikes that were excellent for beginners and novices and provided EXCELLLENT performance and value for money even when compared to their Japanese competition. That's a strong statement given the LONG history the Japanese have making fantastic cruisers with great performance and reliability at cut rate prices. For the sake of new riders and the motor company we really hope to see a successor to the Street but from what we have been hearing the Nightster 975 is the closest on offer and that's a bike in a WHOLE different class both in terms of price and performance. Don't miss out on this opportunity to get one of the few LOW mileage and excellent condition Harley Street 500s left out there as there are plenty that are ex rider academy bikes but almost all of them have been through the war and have the battle scars to show it. This is a garage kept ultra low mileage 2 owner bike that is priced to sell.
