This was a ground breaking cruiser that pushed the boundaries further than any factory production bike had ever done back in 2004 when it was first launched. It had a relatively short lived life at the top as it was only made from 2004-2010 so given its paltry 6 year run with production numbers fairly low each year, it has made this a quickly appreciating mid 2000's muscle cruiser classic. This also makes finding a clean low mileage example a fairly difficult chore given the fact many of these behemoths were relegated to touring duty which meant racking up 6 digit mileage figures over the past 2 decades was not uncommon. Given the girth of the bike a fair few have been written off in wrecks as well which leaves clean, unmodified very low mileage examples like this very hard to find. This is a very powerful bike and has a ride quality to match its imposing looks with a chassis that's been very well engineered in typical Kawasaki fashion along with an unrelenting torque curve to go along with it to further solidify the fact this is not just a muscle cruiser in the segment, Its THE muscle cruiser that truly opened up the unrestricted arms race among all the manufactures helping to spawn some pretty amazing bikes that have carried on the muscle cruiser segment long after its passing. Bikes like the Yamaha Raider, Triumph Rocket 3, Vmax 1700, Valkyrie 1800, and several other super tanker class land yachts with massive displacement and even bigger ego's owe a lot of their existence to ground breaking forerunners like the Vulcan 2000 that pushed the boundaries and proved a bike can be composed and compliant while being tastefully uncivilized laying rolling burn outs while wearing classic cruiser bodywork that is more akin to what your granddaddy's Vulcan would have looked like.
This particular example has exceptionally low mileage and is totally unmolested, having nothing changed or altered and it has only had a few creature comfort upgrades added such as the windshield and backrest similar to those found on the Vulcan classic LT. The Vulcan 2000 has an amazing ride quality thanks mostly to its belt drive and typical excellent suspension that is found across the range of the Vulcan family from 900 - 2000cc. These bikes are absolutely bulletproof and need nothing more than oil changes to keep them on the road for well into the 6 digit figures. This bike will run with most sportbikes light to light and will easily keep up with the newest batch of muscle cruisers out there such as the Suzuki M109R Boulevard and just about anything that Harley or Indian has to offer aside from a few dedicated high performance models costing nearly 3 times what this is currently worth. Don't miss this chance to have one of the biggest baddest Vulcans of all time and experience what that much torque out of a big 2053cc V-Twin feels like.
